new shows - hausman will be performing live (full band) at amos' south end on friday december 17th with some other great acts to benfit www.achildsplace.org - jason will also be performing at the neighborhood theatre in NoDa on saturday january 8th to benefit cpmd - animal control
this is another full band show for hausman.
taking time off - hausman is currently putting the finishing touches on "grey sky sparrow" - he and chris garges are working hard to get the ep ready for release sometime in spring 2005. this, along with some scoring projects have made it impossible for jason to tour right now. look for select dates after the new year.

guest appearances... - bassist ron brendle played upright bass on "april" recently while singer/songwriter rick spreitzer laid down some harmonica on "still life" for the new ep. look for many more guest artists in the coming months!
and well... a guest appearance! - producer/artist don dixon (R.E.M./smithereens/marshall crenshaw) recently showed up in the studio to play bass on a tune for jason's upcoming cd.

the sonic lounge - jason will be the "up-and-coming" artist on the the very first installment of a music TV program called "the sonic lounge" to be hosted by WB personality jeff johnson. the featured artist for this episode will be the legendary spongetones. jason has not only been asked to be a guest but his commercial music division of orpheus arts (w/fellow composer charlie pratt) has been asked to compose the theme music for the program.

radio - the hollow e.p. is getting picked up by more and more stations weekly. please contact your local college radio station and request a hausman song. it really helps! "word of mouth" is getting hausman airplay in several european countries as well!!! (could there be an overseas tour in the works?)

cd release - the e.p. - "hollow" is out now!!! the cd can be found on the web at cdbaby.com & iTunes. the 5 song project was produced by hausman & chris garges. it was recorded and mixed by chris garges at jay howard production audio in charlotte, nc and mastered by chris blair (radiohead, sting, travis) at abbey road studios in london, uk.
hausman on cd compilation - charlotte complex radio compilation... a 8cd box set of charlotte area bands is in stores NOW. compiled by andrew webster... this is sure to be a cool vehicle for local artists. we are happy jason was asked to be a part of it. "vultures" is andrews pick for the compilation.
coming soon - hausman is currently recording a new cd. he is working with chris garges to release another EP which will be called "grey sky sparrow". he is talking to a lot of great artists to guest on the record... we are overwhelmed by the response he is getting. another EP, working title "replaced" will be a collection b-side material to be arranged by composers charlie pratt and jed beck. rumor has it that hausman is also starting to kick around some ideas for an "ambient" record. we will keep you posted on the progess of all three projects.
